Today’s quote struck a chord with me in regards to Hurricane Sandy.
“The message is clear:
Plan with attitude,
Prepare with aptitude,
Participate with servitude,
Receive with gratitude,
and this should be enough to separate you from the multitudes.”
When reports started coming in that Sandy’s landfall was imminent, the world watched as the East Coast planned and prepared to best of their capabilities. In her wake, we’ve heard story after story of all those who have volunteered their resources and services to those who need it most; those who are grateful to receive the assistance in the wake of their devastation.
While natural disasters cause destruction and chaos, they can bring out the good in people, bringing people together and reminding us that we need each other.
